For quizmasters looking for some new angles and slightly unusual material, there's always good material on

the BBC's online Magazine. Around this time of year, they always publish "100 Things We Didn't Know This Time Last Year" which is not necessarily stuff that happened in 2009, just stuff they wrote about in 2009.
